About IHateWorking.net

Hello Stranger! My name is Jukka and I’m the proud owner of IHateWorking.net. The site dedicated to helping people who want to work on their own terms instead of a regular career.

I’m not here to tell you that you don’t need to work for a living. But I am here to tell you there are much better options to the 9 to 5.

My story

I have been in the working life for around 15 years of which the last several years working full time in my current field.

When I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in science in the early 2010s I wound up being unemployed for a half a year. The economy had just had hit a depression and companies simply weren’t hiring

That was the first time I stumbled upon internet marketing. I think I just wrote “making money online” on google and ended up surfing the sites that came up for days.

It soon became obvious there are lots of pushy businesses and downright scams associated with making money online business.

I picked part here and there and scraped up my first two sites in the spring of 2012. I had a general knowledge of how marketers make money online. But I had no idea about the specifics and no real experience in web design or content creation.

I found a full-time job and it took my focus off the sites. Suffice to say the pages never received any traffic and wound up failures. While I was doing pretty well carer wise, I always felt like there had to be a better way to earn a living than a regular career.

Then I remembered the make money online thing and decided to do some research and wound up reading about Wealthy Affiliate. It’s an education platform with an incredible community, hosting services, keyword research tools and pretty much everything an internet marketer could need to run a business online.

I decided to create an account since it’s free and there are no commitments and they are really upfront about everything. I was sold in about a day and decided to go premium and within a week had created my first new site following their step by step training. This is my site number two btw.

My aim is to make a full-time income online following the training at Wealthy Affiliate. You can check out my review of the site here.

Why I want to help people

Look, I know how much going to work can suck. I don’t even actually hate my day job. But it’s demanding.

I often feel drained and stressed after a full work week. I know there is a better way and have decided to follow that path myself and I want to spread the word to anyone willing to listen.

I also love traveling and I can only squeeze in a couple of week-long trips to a year while working a full-time job. I also hate the winter here and want to be able to spend most of the winter somewhere warm.

So if you don’t like your job, don’t like the working life in general, want to travel more or just want to work from home, I’m here to help. I don’t think anyone should suffer in a job they hate, life is too short for that.

Working life is a turning point. There are more educated people unemployed in western countries than ever before. This means that even if you are employed now, the competition is only going to get harder and you can’t trust your employer to keep you employed. People get fired out of the blue all the time these days. The COVID-19 Pandemic has really shown this to be true.

That’s why it’s important to take matters into your own hands and diversify your income sources. I want to help you do it.

The goal of this site

My goal is to share with you how to make an honest living online. The method I’m using involves something called affiliate marketing.

It essentially means offering people solutions to the problems they are having. You point them to the right product and service and get paid an affiliate fee if they decide to make a purchase.

The tricky part is getting the traffic and finding the low competition keywords people are looking for. That’s where Wealthy Affiliate comes in. They know their stuff and show you step-by-step how to create a site, find keywords, and rank your site in google. After that, it’s simply a matter of creating content.

I won’t lie to you. It takes work and effort to make it in this business. I’m just at the beginning of my journey and I know that already. But I find incredible motivation in working for myself, helping people out, and getting to work from anywhere in the world.

The most intriguing part for myself is the residual income. Every post or page you create can make you money for years to come. When you have tens, hundreds, or thousands you start to realize how much potential there is. It only takes 20 posts that bring in on average $ 200 to make a monthly income of $ 4000. So every “task” you accomplish essentially creates cumulative income.

That’s about it for now. If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

Jukka

Hi Jukka,
I can relate to you background. As a former educator, often working 18 hours per day, I decided to look elsewhere. It is hard to have the confidence to make the change because it is taking a long time for the ball to get rolling. As a Wealthy Affiliate member myself, I have access to great information and a supportive community with motivate me to keep going with it.
All the best!

Thank you for your comment Catherine. I think the only smart way is to start creating a site while working full time and not giving up your day job before you have a decent income. Sure you can take a risk and succeed much faster if you quit your job but that puts a LOT of stress on succeeding and things don’t happen over night in this business. Most grown ups have mortgages and other financial obligations that need to be taken care of and that can be tough without a steady income.

Hi Jukka,

I am a pensioner and student of philosophy. At the moment I’m in Barcelona doing a MA in analytic philosophy. There are two essential things I want to do for the rest of my life. They are to study philosophy, literature and languages, and to travel. It is hard on my Third-World pension (I was a public servant in Trinidad & Tobago) to survive here in Europe and so I need to suppliment my income. But having worked for over 30 years of my life, I am unwilling to rejoin the rat-race. This is why your offer is so appealing. I will be checking it out and giving you my feedback soon.

By the way check it out and let me know what you think about my website.
Regards,
Emery

Thanks for taking the time to comment Emery! I think online business is a great way to supplement your pension and definitely something you should consider. Since you already have a website I guess you’ve already familiar with the subject. All the best and I’ll check out the site!
