Is MarketPresso a scam? [2020 Review]

MarketPresso allows you to create "marketplaces" i.e. your website. It's possible to register your own domain name and run your marketplace on it using MarketPresso.

Using MarketPresso involves four simple steps:

1. Step: Create a marketplace with their simple customizable design
2. Add your product or service details
3. Assign a price to your services
4. Collect payment gateway to start collecting payments

You can set up your services and other products in a product manager that basically sets up an online store for you that your customers can use to buy your services. You can choose to bill by time, words, duration etc.

Besides products, you can also manage your FAQ, Reviews, landing pages, autoresponder integration, payment systems, and your blog.

So all in all, it's basically a cloud-based homepage builder with some added features like running an online store for your services or products and email autoresponder integration.

So seems pretty useful if you know nothing about creating websites. But is it really that unique and can it explode your leads and sales?

Is MarketPresso a scam

MarketPresso doesn't seem to be a scam in my opinion. There are real people behind it and they are simply offering a site-building service for small businesses and freelancers.

That said, I personally don't think this software is as revolutionary as they make it seem to be. What they are basically offering is a website builder with templates and website features.

I know that there are entrepreneurs and small businesses that don't have the time to learn how to set up professional websites, so they are willing to pay for someone to set them up for them.

But here's the thing. There are actually tons of similar services: Wix, Squarespace, and Weebly for example. You can also create a very similar website with WordPress by using some plugins. I fail to see what exactly is unique about MarketPresso.

All of the website builders I just listed are very trusted and well established while MarketPresso is very new. As a business owner I would invest in a service that has a track record of keeping sites up and running and secure for years.

Another thing is that since this is marketed for graphic designers, digital marketing agencies and web developers, I'm having a hard time believing that people in those niches wouldn't be able to create their own professional websites.

I also personally think that having your own professional website isn't the solution to getting leads and customers. It's more of a necessity in 2020.

Of course, having your own professional website is a better option than having only a Fiverr account for example. But It's not magically going to explode your projects.

You need to find a way to drive traffic to that site. That's what Fiverr actually offers to entrepreneurs, client traffic. Not profiles. MarketPresso seems to fortunately include some form of lead and traffic training.

If you buy traffic from Facebook for example and drive to your own website, you really need to know what you are doing if you want to end up making a profit. You need to know how to target the right customers and to set up a landing page that converts.

Just having a professional website won't be enough to get endless customer projects. You need to actually drive traffic to that website and that is actually the hard part.
