Is MarketPresso a scam? [2020 Review]

Welcome to my Marketpresson review! If you are wondering is MarketPresso a scam, I'm here to help you find out!

First of all, I want to congratulate you for taking a second to do research. It's the only way to find the legit programs out there and to avoid all the scams.

If you are new to making money online and online business, you might not have realized just many products are out there. Ranging from legit, to questionable to downright scams.

It's nearly impossible to find the legit ones when you are a beginner because you don't have the experience and knowledge to assess which advertising claims are realistic and what business models actually work in the 2020s.

The reality is that any successful business model will include work. Usually, in the case of online business, the work comes from creating content of some form, like blog posts or YouTube or TikTok videos for example.

There are also legit business models that require less work in creating but require capital to invest in running ads. They usually consist of creating landing pages with sales funnels and then driving traffic to those through YouTube and Facebook ads for example.

MarketPresso is actually targeted for entrepreneurs and small businesses that already have a service to sell. So it's not about affiliate marketing for example. It's basically an automated website builder with integrated online store functionalities and traffic training.

So if you own a business that sells services, you might be interested as using the Internet is the most effective way to get clients for most services these days.

On the other hand, if you are looking to create a business that produces passive income and you don't have a service to sell to consumers, I recommend you check out my top recommendation.

If you are a business owner, you probably want to know if and how MarketPresso actually works. That's what I'll try my best to help you find out in this review.

Before we continue, I want you to know that I'm not affiliated with MarketPresso in any way. I'm creating this review because my site is about finding the best opportunities to make honest income online so you can start working on your own terms.

I check out different opportunities for my readers and give my opinion. I also recommend products I've personally found useful, so my content does include affiliate links from time to time.

I only recommend products I trust fully and I will offer my full support because of that if you decide to join through my link. You can find my number one recommendation through the button below.

What Is MarketPresso

MarketPresso is marketed as a marketplace builder for freelancers, service provides, and digital marketing agencies. They apparently use revolutionary technology that will help you to get more clients for any service.

Some of the things MarketPresson offers according to their marketing video are:

  • Get more customers to any service you offer
  • Build your authority
  • Get better compensation
  • Get more recurring customers
  • Dominate bigger companies
  • Get more sales and profit online

MarketPresso is targeted to freelancers and small businesses, mainly online service providers like digital marketing services, web designers, etc. to help to solve the problem of customer acquisition.

Their take is that one of the main reasons freelancers don't get new projects is because they lack a professional website with a professional portfolio and customer testimonials and everything should scream high-quality.

Customers also want to haggle down your price if you present yourself as a freelancer instead of a serious professional or an authority in your niche.

In their example, the only place a freelancer can create such profiles are places like Fiverr, Upwork, and Freelancer, and the problem is that they are full of competition that drives the pricing down. So you don't get projects and if you do, you will have to sell them cheap.

This is apparently the reason why many entrepreneurial dreams die before they even really take off. No projects, no income.

MarketPesso offers a solution by allowing you to create your own premium services marketplace so that you are no longer chained to the freelancing platforms.

Founders Of MarketPresso

I always like to check out the people behind the products I review. It's good to know who you are dealing with and what kind of backgrounds they have.

MarketPresso is created by Karthik Ramani and Saurabh Bhatnagar. There isn't much information about these gentlemen on the MarketPresso website.

I couldn't find much information on Karthik but Saurabh does have a personal website. He's apparently a successful Forber recognized online entrepreneur and he even has his own professional training program.

How Much MarketPresso Costs?

MarketPresso is currently running a launch and has a lifetime price of $47. They are apparently going to go to the recurring price model after this launch, so you should get it now if you really want it.

That said I find it odd they can even afford to sell this type of service without a recurring payment plan. I guess it's just for the launch.

There are several one time offers (OTOs) in their sales funnel. You will be offered MarketPresso Pro for $97, which includes additional features.

Other OTO upsells include MarketPresso Template Club ($47), MarketPresso Premium ($197), and MarketPResso Mobile App ($197).

How MarketPresso Works

So how does MarketPresso actually help you create a professional profile and portfolio to get more leads and projects?

Well, they market it as the Worlds first and only builder that helps you build your "own marketplace". So it's actually a cloud-based website builder with ready-made professional looking templates for different types of businesses.

According to their sales letter, it can be used for:

  •  Physical products
  • Digital products
  • Graphic design
  • Video creation
  • Video marketing
  • Content writing
  • Online marketing
  • Voiceover
  • Copywriting
  • Concept building
  • Audio editing
  • Web development
  • Consultation
  • Gaming
  • Chatbots
  • Stock collection
  • Translation
  • SEO
  • Landing page and funnel building
  • Digital marketing services
  • Ebooks

You can check out their example site to see how the builder looks in action. You can also check out this (very long) video by Saurabh Bhatnagar for more details:

MarketPresso allows you to create "marketplaces" i.e. your website. It's possible to register your own domain name and run your marketplace on it using MarketPresso.

Using MarketPresso involves four simple steps:

  1. Step: Create a marketplace with their simple customizable design
  2. Add your product or service details
  3. Assign a price to your services
  4. Collect payment gateway to start collecting payments

You can set up your services and other products in a product manager that basically sets up an online store for you that your customers can use to buy your services. You can choose to bill by time, words, duration etc.

Besides products, you can also manage your FAQ, Reviews, landing pages, autoresponder integration, payment systems, and your blog.

So all in all, it's basically a cloud-based homepage builder with some added features like running an online store for your services or products and email autoresponder integration.

So seems pretty useful if you know nothing about creating websites. But is it really that unique and can it explode your leads and sales?

Is MarketPresso a scam

MarketPresso doesn't seem to be a scam in my opinion. There are real people behind it and they are simply offering a site-building service for small businesses and freelancers.

That said, I personally don't think this software is as revolutionary as they make it seem to be. What they are basically offering is a website builder with templates and website features.

I know that there are entrepreneurs and small businesses that don't have the time to learn how to set up professional websites, so they are willing to pay for someone to set them up for them.

But here's the thing. There are actually tons of similar services: Wix, Squarespace, and Weebly for example. You can also create a very similar website with WordPress by using some plugins. I fail to see what exactly is unique about MarketPresso.

All of the website builders I just listed are very trusted and well established while MarketPresso is very new. As a business owner I would invest in a service that has a track record of keeping sites up and running and secure for years.

Another thing is that since this is marketed for graphic designers, digital marketing agencies and web developers, I'm having a hard time believing that people in those niches wouldn't be able to create their own professional websites.

I also personally think that having your own professional website isn't the solution to getting leads and customers. It's more of a necessity in 2020.

Of course, having your own professional website is a better option than having only a Fiverr account for example. But It's not magically going to explode your projects.

You need to find a way to drive traffic to that site. That's what Fiverr actually offers to entrepreneurs, client traffic. Not profiles. MarketPresso seems to fortunately include some form of lead and traffic training.

If you buy traffic from Facebook for example and drive to your own website, you really need to know what you are doing if you want to end up making a profit. You need to know how to target the right customers and to set up a landing page that converts.

Just having a professional website won't be enough to get endless customer projects. You need to actually drive traffic to that website and that is actually the hard part.

In case you are interested in how to do this with a proven alternative to MarketPresso (with a 14-year track record), I will show you a proven plan for driving traffic to your website.

A Proven Alternative

I personally use a business model that is based on Search engine optimization or SEO. It basically means getting organic traffic from Google searches. That's very likely how you wound up here.

Many people seem to think that it's impossible to get traffic through search engines in 2020 or that it's too competitive, saturated or something silly like that.

The reality is that it's completely possible and Google algorithm updates have actually leveled the playing field. You don't need tons of backlinks or exact match domains. All you need is keyword targeted high-quality posts.

But the trick is that you need enough of them and your website needs to age a bit. So this isn't a short term strategy. But if you are willing to run a blog on your website, you will eventually start picking up organic traffic and leads.

I run my websites at place called Wealthy Affiliate. It's an all-in-one platform for affiliate marketers and online entrepreneurs. They offer professional step-by-step training that shows you how you can create a website that ranks in Google.

They also teach how you can then turn that organic traffic into income on automation, in case you don't want to just sell your services.

The best thing is that they have very competitive pricing considering what they offer. Wealthy Affiliate includes a state of the art hosting service, two professional training programs, endless amounts of community training. You can check out my review of WA for more details through the button below.

There is one problem though if you are looking for a ready-made business site. They only run WordPress based sites, so you are going to have to learn how to create a professional-looking site using WordPress.

The good news is that you can buy very cheap ready-made themes for that and you can add virtually any feature with plugins. If you are a web developer or graphic designer, don't you think you should learn to do this stuff anyways?

I hope you found my MarketPresso review useful. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments section below and I will get back to you.

All in all, I think MarketPresso offers a useful service and there's nothing that would suggest it's a scam. That said, there are tons of website builders with similar features and a much longer track record.

I personally use WordPress with Thrive Architect to build my websites. While it's far from being an actual web developer, these are very useful skills you should learn as a freelancer.

That's why I recommend you check out Wealthy Affiliate for the best bang for the buck WordPress website hosting. The business model they teach there might make you want to change your business as well 😉
